I really believe they instill a bit of panic in us on purpose. This seems to happen every year. The prices have dropped drastically in my area already, roughy 40 cents/gallon.

Yup, about time to set aside a few hundred gallons.

Demand is down in the USA. Likely dropping in other places in the world including those places where we export gas, Diesel and other refined products, our biggest export.

It peaked here at about $3.99 per gallon. Today it's $3.95. It's got a long way to drop before people stop feeling the pain each time they fill up.

Just read that MSNBC story and all I can say is wow. Who in their right mind would say "It's almost like a tax cut," said Jared Bernstein, a senior fellow Center for Budget and Policy Priorities. when talking about lowering the summer forecast for the price of gas from $3.95 to $3.79. Honestly sounds more like a political ad.
