I kicked my wife out of the garage and my B20 has been in there ever since. I like peaking in on her at night sometimes. Kind of like checking on my daughter sleeping.

Lol

This message must be at least five characters long. Dumb!

I recently traded in my 1974 JD 2030. After 38 years, it looked almost new. It had been barn kept before I got it in 2001, and I built a shed for it next to my workshop. Sure some rain and snow might blow in on it, but not too much. My neighbor has a tractor almost the same vintage. It still runs well, but has been kept outside most of the time... And shows it. It is so rusty that you don't see the JD green, and bolts and levers are rusty and had to repair.

My new CUT stays in the shed when not in use. I expect to leave it to my kids, and want to leave it looking good.

My tractor is in the garage, and that's where it's going to stay.

Same here, makes me wonder why I had the block heater installed. Total waste of money :(

I've got 5 tractors, all outside. I'd love to garage them, but just don't have a place to put them under cover.

We kept our New Holland out for a few years, but a couple years ago we bought a Shelter Logic. One of the bigger ones, 20x22 with the extra heavy weight cover and frame. Fits both tractors and the mower and implements in it. Not that we have much in implements.
The New Holland was fine outside, we did tarp it all winter. But I love having the 'garage' now because it's a lot easier to go out and plow snow without having to try to drag a snowcovered tarp off of a tractor. It held up well to the winter before last too, I thought for sure we'd lose it under 4' of snow.

I keep my L4400 under a shed with the riding lawn mower and two trailers. I keep my other implements in another shed right next to it. I usually keep the box blade on my tractor to act as ballast because I have a FEL. I learned a lesson years ago in regards to tarps. They have many uses, but they seem to attract mice.

It may be true that a roof would be nice and one can be built in short order ... however, it is not as simple as a "Saturday worth of time". Around here any flat (or slanted/peaked/or anything that could be defined by the County as a roofor deck) that is more then 32" off the ground requires a permit!

That is funny stuff right there.

I have dog houses that are over 32":D

If you have no choice but to leave out in the elements I strongly suggest that the tires be covered (like folks do for RV's) as tires weather check faster than you can wear them out, and them rears are pricy.*
The other advice given also applies.
* my rears were so badly checked that I had no choice even with probably 1000's hrs of treads remaining.

Mine has a nice heated garage to reside in when not in use.
