If it rains for any more than a week or so it is best not to go anywhere on my place. Once you break through that top crust it is all over and the bucket won't help you push it out as it just keeps going down into the quicksand slop.

These pics that I just found were the time it was only stuck for 3 weeks until it dried out. I managed to get the front end up, but there was a big tree root behind the back wheels about 2 feet down that held on to her. When it dried out I had to manually dig the towbar etc out so I could reverse out.

Another time I was stuck for 6 weeks but you can't call on the neighbours to help as they would finish up there beside you.

That is stuck... Real stuck. Not sure if you have any trees in front or behind you but would it be possible to use a winch to help pull it out?

Yes there are some nice big trees, but every chance you would just pull the tree down on your tractor as the ground is just slush. Even so, if I did get it out that way it would just have to sit in the paddock anyway as I couldn't have driven it far.
There was a story about a bloke whose dozer was sinking so he parked it over a sawn off tree stump to stop it going down. He walked 10 klm home and when they went back to get it there was only the exhaust pipe sticking out of the ground. It pushed the stump and all down. They had to get in machinery to dig it out. Imagine cleaning it?

I can't imagine that kind of muck. Man. Good luck getting it out.

So that's what they mean by down-under..

Wow, the ground looks like normal dry ground at my place... My wet areas are usually covered with 3 feet of dense grass and vegetation. Too bad the back end is so low, wouldn't something like a bottle jack on a railway tie pop it out?

You are looking pretty stuck. I know that sinking feeling, it happens so quickly. Guess if it has happened before you are just going to have to wait to make sure that ground is nice and firm.

Too low to get a jack under and the jack would sink under its' own weight in that stuff. It turns to quicksand about 4" down. Sadly, you just have to be patient which is hard for me when my baby is sitting out there so lonely....

I have thought of getting new rims and tyres for the front like I see most of you guys have as they are wider. Once those little Ag tyres break through the rear ones dig in before you have a chance to react.

The old Farmall owners manual circa 1942 says to NEVER chain railroad ties to the back wheels when you are stuck. Any time an owners manual tells you not to do something, it must work pretty well but be dangerous. Have you considered chaining a railroad tie to the back wheel? I suspect you should not go over 1/2 turn on the tire. I am afraid I would try it before leaving the tractor stuck for 6 weeks. :)
