I didn't start drinking coffee until I was 24 years old, and then probably only one or two cups a day for the next 8 or 10 years, but then when I had an office job, I kept a cup of coffee on the desk all day until after 5 p.m. And now, I'm on my second cup this morning. I'll be sipping coffee unti nearly noon when I'll change to cold drinks, the colder the better. I'll keep a big glass of ice water handy until I go to bed.
On the other hand, my bride of 47+ years was drinking coffee from the time she gets up in the morning until she goes back to bed at night when I met her and she still does. Sometimes one 10 cup pot is enough for the day, but usually it's two 10 cup pots made here. We don't leave the house without a travel cup of coffee in the car or truck.
We use the cheapest coffee we can buy, Master Chef from Walmart, because it seems just as good as the more expensive ones we've tried. But if I could make a cup of coffee that tasted like the coffee Braniff Airlines served on their planes before they went under, I'd be willing to pay 2 or 3 times as much for it.
