glad I got the dk45se. It slows a little bit going up some mightly steep hills between my house and my farm 3 miles away.
That's a good response from Murphy it sure gave me a Sunday laugh , I would think the tractor should maintain an up hill speed without slowing down to a craw .
What kind of hill are we talking about? My driveway is around 60 degrees and I climb it in Med range. The paved road out front has some 10+ degree hills and I run them all in High range.
60 deg??? thats a cliff!!!
I have to admit, I don't understand this "grade" thing. I see an 8% grade road sign and think....this is way steeper that what I think 8% should be. Your right though, from flat level I know I have some 45+ degree climb in the driveway. I really need to get a 10' stick and a tape measure to confirm.
Ok, curiosity is killing me, so I took a class on driveway calculations(youtube). A 10'stick of EMT, magnetic level & a tape measure. I'm at 31" in the steepest part, so 31 divided by 120(length of the EMT gives me a .258333, or rounding up a 26% grade. Y'all were right, I was {cough} wr...wr....wr o n g![]()
