Tractor
Kubota BX2380/LA344 loader/60" MMM, Bobcat S185 skid steer, JD X394 4 wheel steer mower
I'm in the earliest of the preliminary stages of thinking about a couple of Bobcat S185's that are for sale locally. Links to both Bobcats can be seen in my post under the Bobcat construction equipment forum. If (and that's a large if) I decided to buy one I'd most likely put my 2009 B3030 HSDCC with 111 hours up for sale. Attached is an LA403 loader with a Washburn SSQA. There's also a JD ballast box and Speeco quick hitch on the back.
I bought the tractor brand new in Feb. 2009 and it has spent every night of it's life with me stored inside. I mowed a one acre lawn for 2 summers with a RFM and occasionally knocked down the tall stuff on my other acre with a John Deere LX 4 rotary cutter. Also would occasionally do an average sized driveway now and then with a Farm King Y600 rear mount blower, but the area where I live is certainly not known for snowfall. I also have a Leinbach 12 inch auger with very little use on it as well as a KK II 60 inch tiller. The till was purchased at auction brand new a couple of months ago and has been used twice.
The main use has been a TS boom pole with a SSQA plate welded to it that I use to load 300+ pound rolls of aluminum coil onto a seamless gutter machine.
The cab has heat, A/C, stereo, front & rear defrost and front & rear work lights.
I think it would be a tall order to sell the tractor and every implement as a package, but I'd break it up. My main concern is the tractor's value. I'm open to some opinions from all on TBN. I've gone the tractorhouse route for both the tractor and the Bobcats, but prices vary wildly for apples to apples comparisons.

Wow! 100+ lookers and nobody ventures an opinion? Unheard of on TBN. Neil? Art? Any of you old tractor pros? Not holding anyone to anything, just looking for some ballpark figures. As I said, other sites pricing varies so widely for the same models as to really be useless. Maybe the dealer I bought it from can give me a figure.

Here is one forsale but without a loader. Are buddies with the guys at the dealership where you bought it, maybe they could tell you what it is worth. I think you will take a beating selling it all together.

I agree. If a Bobcat deal comes to pass for me, I would most likely sell cabbed tractor/loader along with the ballast box & quick hitch as a unit. Everything else would probably sell separately and go to a new (or used if available) SB200 snow blower. I already have the other SSQA attachments that I need.
The tractor that in your link has about identical hours and is 1 year older with no loader for $16,700. I'm thinking maybe starting out at around $19,500 or $20,000 and negotiating from there if there's any interest.
I may get in touch with my salesman today and see if he'll at least give me an idea of the value. Thank you for the insights.

My local dealer had one recently, tractor and loader only. Had less hours and was a '10 model (for whatever difference model year makes). They started at 19.9 , and when they got no interest they dropped to 18.9. I think the 'real' number was more like 18. It did eventually sell.

I would never try to sell the tractor will all the attachments in one lump. Either sell the tractor and list them individually afterward, or if you are committed to this start listing one or two that you don't use often now. In my experience, if they are priced to sell, they will sell on CL without much trouble.

That realistically is what would most likely happen.

I would keep the ballast box and qh off of it and when some body tries to get you down on your price tell them how about I throw in a ballast box and qh instead. Here is a B3000 and a couple of B3030's.

Now I'm getting somewhere! I knew the TBN crew would come through with some good suggestions for me.
Too bad that these things aren't as easy to look up as car/truck values are.

A lot will depend on location. I just sold my 2007 BX24 with 60" MMM and only 205 hours for 15,000.00 It also slept indoors always. Now I just have a bagger and snowblower to sell. Tried to sell them together but the buyer of the tractor couldn't get the funds for the whole thing. Here weher we are no one discounts the tractors or attachments so we can get a slightly higher resale but say down south where you have places like Barlows that will discount a new unit I would have been laughed at. BTW the cheapest in my local area for a new BX25 was 19,000.00 So look around and price accordingly

The Bobcat deal took place tonight. Looks like the morning brings pics and a CL ads for tractor and the various attachments.
