Henh. That's funny. It was actually a green house effect due to an asteroid impact. The dinosaurs melted away. Surely grammar school or at least middle school should have taught that.

I hope I missed something and you aren't referring to the event of 11000 years ago. Because if you are that sure explains a lot strange things you've said!

While following the hurricane tracking this week, I started to look at all the models. Each model built from different scientific communities and all think THEY are correct. The track you see is a composite of many models. I just wonder how many global weather change models there are and just how big the cone of uncertainty really is, and who built the models and why. This topic is not touched on and I suspect the models are all over the place or there is just one, and from hurricane models we see there is gigantic difference within the science of something very simple as hurricane tracking compared to predicting global climate change.

these Crazy Greenies

I've often wondered what Greenies were. Are they really green? How did they get that way?

Why aren't there also people called say "Purples". Or "Orangies". Or say "Violeties"? Seems if one colour is used there should be more use of other colours!:thumbsup:

Before TBN me and a lot of other folk though Boogers were greenies!:cool2:

I always thought greenies is what ya spit out when ya have the flu.......
Somewhat the same in anycase, they are all slimey

Updating their official stance on the relationship between climate change and weather events, the American Meteorological Society (AMS), has now stated plainly that the warming world is a fact beyond reproach and that human activity妖espite some natural variability擁s the main force behind such changes.

"Warming of the climate system now is unequivocal," the group said in a statement on Monday. "Observations show increases in globally averaged air and ocean temperatures, as well as widespread melting of snow and ice and rising globally averaged sea level."

The dominant cause of the warming since the 1950s is human activities, they said, adding that their scientific finding is based on "a large and persuasive body of research."

"Due to natural variability," the statement noted, "not every year is warmer than the preceding year globally. Nevertheless, all of the 10 warmest years in the global temperature records up to 2011 have occurred since 1997, with 2005 and 2010 being the warmest two years in more than a century of global records."
