I rarely do, but will when its cold and often wear a baseball hat when in the sun for a long time or on my boat. I do tend to wear a hard hat with a wire face shield and built in muffs when doing any tractor work.
I go for function, not vanity.
Winter, cold, sunless, knit cap
very cold, windy, leather cap with wool inside, cheek strap
Summer, hot, windy, brim hat with holes in crown, leather chin strap
Summer, hot, not so windy, some sort of brim hat
windy, not too much sun..baseball cap, gimme
hunting turkey, deer, cold windy, camouflage pullover just showing eyes and mouth.
hunting dove, baseball cap, sit in shade, helps with sun when out and about picking up birds
Overcast, little sun, whatever is around and best for temperature
Summer in the shop or not too much sun but sweating a lot... a do rag for the noggin keeps sweat out of eyes.
Balding and need cover from sun for sure. Also, tops of ears to keep the dermatologist's pocket knife in the pocket.
... Needless to say he carried a nickname of Baldy from that day on....... How many of you can relate to this?
and is it due to wearing a hat/cap?
