I suppose if you had your gun in your pocket or concealed carry holster you could have drawn, aimed and fired to protect yourself and caddy. I'm sure all you self reliant superhero types can do that faster than the guy behind you with the 12 gauge pressed against your head could move his finger half an inch to render your daughter fatherless.

Crime sucks. Gun crime sucks worse. Playing superhero to deal with it by yourself might work sometimes when nothing else can be done. But most often the criminal just wants your valuables not your or your families' life. Is it really worthwhile to risk a child's life (or happiness if just daddy goes down) in order to protect a freaking caddy? I doubt many would answer yes unless inebriated or suffering from chronic testosterone poisoning. Shootouts in parking lots don't stop gun crime, they just add to the butcher's bill. The police didn't catch the perp this time but you and your daughter survived. Maybe not a clear win in the battle against crime but not another tragic gun death either.

Where did the hoodlum get his gun? Most likely he bought it legally or via straw purchase at a local gun shop thanks to the efforts of the NRA to make gun purchasing easier than buying a used car.

First off this is just a personal attack ,I never said I was trying to go for the gun or trying to protect my freaking caddy !I never claimed to be a superhero I am pretty self reliant tho ! Nor would I risk my daughters life for a car ! The point I was making was it happened so fast even if I was alone I couldn't have done anything different and if you think the 'hoodlum " bought his gun legally and then cut the barrel so he could conceal it for a crime spree well that's just crazy ! Anyone with any street smarts can buy any gun they want in any town in the US within 1 day ! All you need is a pocket full of cash ! gun laws only apply to LAW ABIDING CITIZENS ! Maybe those who have lived sheltered lives may think banning or confiscating guns is the answer but all you will be doing is allowing the criminals the upper hand and an open wallet . I'm sure you can buy any gun you want even in Australia . And when guns cost more than a used car I"m sure they will be more difficult to get and you will be happier ! Have a nice day I have to go hang up my cape and check my testosterone level:talktothehand: 5L85Ke5Ha3Id3Ld3J4ca93fe546f1f4861c36.jpg

The AR15 or any gun like it should be restricted.

Once again Canadian,
Your opinion is not wanted or needed in America.

You ever read an atlas? Canada, mexica, Brazil are all in the AMERICAs. You statement shows your true level of ignorance. The United States of america is a country with in North America. See my point yet? Quit speaking for two continents.

Roy, here a thought. Freedom of speech correct. Why can't you say **** or he!! on here? That's limitation correct. Acceptable? I think so, so do you, you are a member here that agreed to the terms of use!

My point is reasonable limitation should be exceptable. Not many people want a complete gun ban, I sure don't. Just an acceptable limitation. I think that's reasonable. Do you?

TBN is a privately owned forum. The management determines what is allowable.
If you tried to limit the freedom of speech in a newspaper or other media, for example, there would be a series of lawsuits and all kinds of issues brought against those who inflicted such restrictions.

Now, firearms...Obama, Feinstein, Schumer and others have had a long standing prejudice against firearms in general. The Democrats are currently in power and they may try restrictions...and in 2014, the people will make their choices for many currently in office. The last time the Democrats did this nonsense, they lost big time....and I expect it again.
Now, I maintain it will take an amendment to restrict any rights...including the 2nd Amendment.

at 7 posts a day he lost a little credibility. Especially telling someone off.

Yes because that is how credibility is gauged, by quantity. Is that assessment as accurate as your other opinions?

And super shocker of the day...you agree with Island Tractor...go figure.

I am asking on his behalf. Not sure whether I should allow you to answer since you count is too low. However, i make one exception

Now answer his question.
The answer to his question is orange except on Sundays, then it's tangerine. Clearly we all know the answer to his question...

It is unfortunate to see the degree of animosity growing between members from different countries, but it is not new, I commented a year or more ago on Canadians/Australians/Britain tell those of us in the United States how we should run our country and "be reasonable like them". I don't remember ever making a comment like that to anyone from another country and am growing increasingly weary of hearing it. At some point the tone and constant drumbeat begins to have the opposite effect and people will just tend to tune someone out.

Agreed everyone has the right to their own opinion, but I believe we are close to the point to where we really are no longer really listening to each other and some are making some really ridiculous assumptions on the beliefs and opinions of others.

I hope my post count is high enough to be taken seriously; a really absurd point in my opinion as threads on credibility have pointed out the meaninglessness of high post counts. You can say stupid stuff a lot of times and get a high post count; totally meaningless.

Actually, we're considering annexing Canada...seems like a good thing to me, anyway.
