Sorry about your loss. Good friends are hard to find and a lot harder to loose.

I may move slow, but I am persistant...ground is broken...the "Barn-Do-Minium" is underway

Its taken a while. to get to this point..30 years, in fact.

...and you know something? I gotta be living a charmed life when I can tell Precious Bride I'm heading off to enjoy a little Pole Dancing and she gives me a big hug and asks me if I have enough money...

Yeah BOY...CHARMED...:D

Stay Tuned and BE SAFE OUT THERE...

POLE PLAN.jpgPole Dancing 007.jpg

So much for Pole Dancing...a total of 23 6x6 treated poles wound up closely resembling the Plan...

Schweeeeeeet.....!

The rain has let up tho the north wind thats drying things out makes it a bit chilly in the morning...just enough to make a jacket, hat and a cup of hot coffee during our morning tailgate session extra welcome...

I treated my Carpenters to a round of pinto beans and beer in celebration of planting that last pole...Marty and Charles may argue like "The Bickersons" but they are funny, rock steady and hard working...between the three of us it's our own little "Redneck Comedy Jam"...easy working like that...

Tomorrow, we continue the Foundation work by setting our Level Lines and installing the form boards for the concrete floor...maybe we can even start spreading some of the sand...

We shall see...

So...till next installment...BE SAFE OUT THERE...

Get as much done as you can while it's still cool. We are having a warmer than usual February tho'. Good to see you are making progress. Has to be motivating after all the hard prep work you've done.

It's been perfect working weather here in Texas...my craftsmen have turned in an outstanding performance, and I have scheduled concrete for tomorrow,.

Knowing my luck, this should trigger a 100-year flood...Stay tuned...!

Who are you using. We have a place in grimes county as well and want to build a 30x50 shop the day we begin building our house in the event our current home sells faster than expected. If your happy with them than I would be comfortable talking to them.

Thanks

Brett

Brett-

I was so disgusted with the bids tendered by the contractors around here (Bedias) I decided to act as my own General Contractor.

Tho I have located a lot of really fine suppliers for all of the various materials, and am getting great support from them as an "Owner-Builder" I cannot reccomend any pole barn builders...

Sorry, Brother...
