Help my couplers are not so quick connect? It is a big job detaching the hydraulic connection to my snowblower chute. I tried cleaning to coupler? It's a pain in the butt removing the blower because of the fittings. Any ideas thanks

Relieve the pressure in the system before trying to disconnect.

It's possible you have defective coupler. And since you say snowblower it could be iced up/frozen.

Does the sleeve on the QD move at all? Pushing or pulling.

Was the snow blower raised up even a little? If so, then the weight of the snow blower is causing pressure on the QD.

You will have to bleed the snow blower side of the QD. It could be messy.

J.J. the blower is on the 3pt, this is for chute rotation. I have it in my garage now to warm up I'll check into more tomorrow. maybe ice? I hope, but skeptical if something stand out I'll report.

I understand now.

Try a heat gun on the QD.

I'm a newbie & having a similar problem when I go to connect the two couplers for my 4in1... I swear myself blue in the face trying to get them to click home (10 minutes each) and then they miraculously decide to pop in as if there never was a problem.

Naturally there's an moderate amount of hydraulic fluid all over my hands & boots by this stage.

When I go to perform this evolution I've turned the tractor off & lowered the FEL after the fact. So, what am I doing wrong?

Ah HA! The answer is in a TBN thread from June of '09 "Hydraulic hoses are difficult to re-connect"!

So, if I read this right, with the tractor shut down & the FEL then lowered via the joystick, if I bleed a wee bit of fluid from the male end connector it should work.

Which makes sense regarding my previous statement about fluid being all over my hands & boots.

Thanks TBN contibutors! The power of 'search' has saved the day & stopped me from starting a thread for a subject already covered.

Relieve the pressure before you disconnect your lines.
