It should be standard equip ;)

Agreed. I just went out to test my 2013 Chrysler. You can lock the keys in the car but you have to work at it. If you leave the key/remote in the ignition, and open the door you get an annoying chime and you are unable to lock the drivers door with the electrical switch on the door. BUT you can still lock the door by pressing down on the mechanical door button. and if the rest of the doors were already locked, which they could be, you would be locked out. You would have to be an idiot to do that, but the world is full of idiots:D

Not long ago a coworker told me of something that really frosted his flakes...if you will.
He said " I can't stand it when someone puts the toilet paper on the roll backwards". I was confused and asked him what did he mean by backwards?
He imparted to me that toilet paper should always come off the front of the roll, not the back.
I immediately told him that there are things in life you need to worry about and that is not one of them. That was a complete waste of my time, but I just had to say it.

I can't think of anything that will get to me faster that hearing some idiot's sub-woofer from a half a mile away. That, and hoses or extension cords that snag or drawers that won't open or close. :confused3:

My 05 silverado will not lock with the key in the ignition. I usually pull it out a little to stop the chimes, hit the power locks. close door, done.
As for getting back in, I hit the open button on the key fob. One push drivers door unlocks ,two pushes unlocks all the other doors. If battery dies in the key fob, I have an extra key in my wallet, plus, one hidden around the truck.

T.J.

My neighbor has a Chrysler product and every now and then locks his keys in the vehicle while it's still running.

My old Tacoma will automatically unlock the door if the keys are in the ignition. My Subaru would too. My Ford doesnt have that feature, but it has the touch pad on the drivers door. The savings from calling a tow truck to unlock the door have more than paid for that particular option:thumbsup:

that particular option saved my bacon more than once in times past.

Things that annoy me? How about the legions of morons telling others to "drink plenty of fluids" when it's hot?
Duh, you think so?

How about the legions of morons telling others to "drink plenty of fluids" when it's hot?

Thanks for posting that. It has really become an epidemic, spreading from the TV weatherperson to the average citizen, who must feel the rest of us are all panting close to death a few steps away from the fluids that could save us.

PS: If they are really technical, they say "stay hydrated".

Every change in the weather seems to be accompanied by dire warnings of some kind, any more; akin to giving every storm a name, as discussed in other threads.

In this part of the country, I think we need a special type of infant car seat that hooks into a safety interlock. If you get out of the car, take the keys out, and walk away from the car with a child in the infant seat, the horn starts honking and all the windows roll down. Too many kids are dying in hot cars because people forget they are there. Nothing annoys me more than a child being killed because their parents or caregiver are absent-minded and leave them in a hot car.

I have to admit, I'm annoyed when I go to TBN from a Google search, and instead of letting me read the post, a huge banner pops up urging me to join TBN, so to avoid the pop-up, I have to make sure I'm logged in first.

I try not to get annoyed at much, but people dumping trash on my front right-of-way do annoy me. It's mostly beer bottles, so you also know they're drinking and driving. I don't mind hitting the cans with the mower nearly as much as the bottles.

I got a chuckle out the "metric" posts. We were on-track to join the rest of the world in 1983, but that was considered "anti-business" so it was one of the first things Reagan killed. That's why our cars are half metric and half SAE (can't call it "imperial" because even the British don't use it anymore) at a cost of many $billions a year. I get annoyed when I'm working on a piece of equipment, and the geniuses who owned it before me were too lazy to locate the correct thread, so they just jammed in whatever they had on-hand.

I do get annoyed at parasites who prey on the weak. I refer to payday loans and car title loans, but most especially car title loans. There's a car title loan company in town that has a big lot full of used cars for sale. Three guesses where they got all those low-miles cars for pennies on the dollar. All the people who used to have those cars are now poorer, and may not even have a way to get to work anymore. They can repo a car for non-payment of a $200 loan. It's evil, should be illegal, and they're obviously making money hand over fist, because it seem slike 2/3 of the ads on the Austin stations are for car title and payday loans (and the rest are for ambulance chasers). I'm annoyed that America seems to have gotten stupider over the last 50 years. I know I have, but the a big chunk of the rest of the country seems to have made a race out of it.
