Yeah. I've given him work several times and I pay more than he would make any where else by far. I guess you can't fix stupid. Just a shame though, he's a bright articulate kid who just won't get his s$%t straight.

I would much rather advance him the $225 and let him go his own bail (if that is allowed) and let him be liable if he skips out. I would expect him to act in accordance with his track record and leave you swinging in the wind with the remaining balance on the bail.

Gotrocks: but the bondsman comes back to the one that paid the bond to get reimbursed. You have to sign a contract stating that you are liable if the defendant doesn't show.

If he bonds out then he will be coming back for help on attorney's fees. In some places you won't get a public defender if you bond out.
Talk to the prosecutor about getting him out on an OR, with the promise you will give him regular work-if you want to help him. Sounds like he needs professional counseling, not preaching.

I raised 4 boys (now men) I think I have some experience in these matters. I would send him a prisoners Bible and let his butt sit in there. If you get him out to quick he won't remember his ordeal/experience. Theres nothing wrong in going to jail, but there is something wrong in going for wrong reason ! Might sound like harsh advise. Just my :2cents:
