Like any other current truck it looks best as a crewcab .
Yesterday's NY Times- I wouldn't buy the pinko rag but it was at my B-in laws house-had a big story on the growing shift ton diesel cars in US. and made the point as to how much more efficient they were then all the other hybrid types. GM is on board with chevy Cruz at 50 mpg, Mopar is on board with Motori V-6 in Jepp and Ram 1/2 ton, Ford got a mention about upcoming Transit with the 5 cyl diesel.
Would definitely buy one! No doubt! Nice looking , and would compliment my 4-wheel drive VW's.. er, Audi's :thumbsup:I understand that the truck is entirely their own. During development, they camouflaged it in Hilux sheet metal, but that was the extent of outside influence.
Side note, its also available in a stripped out model, like the Toyota pickups of old. Just a base, compact, work truck. Those old Toyotas were pretty popular on farms to get around. How many people have you heard complain that they dont make old style, cheap work trucks anymore?

Still got my 97 chevy K1500 Ext cab with a 6.5 Detroit Diesel. Love that thing to death. Economical, reliable, and the parts are cheap for an old IDI diesel. Set of glow plugs last year were 60 dollars, a whole set of injectors are around 400 though i'm still going on the original ones. Plus I love it when I drive up someplace and people look at it funny and say "is that a diesel?"
Many people forget that GM was actually the first to the market with the 6.5 in a 1500 as well. All the news sites saying Ram's new first in class diesel in a 1500 are wrong. GM did it 15 years ago.
I remember the diesel blazer.
