Texas Spring/Summer Thread

My wife and I use to take the kids to any and all museums we could fine,, lot of history and a lot of small town can have load of history that will keep the kids and us interested for hours,, We don't go much anymore.. My wife is in a wheelchair,, lost of a limb,, half the time they have so much in them that they block the walkway that a wheelchair cant' get around.. They will try to move things out of the way so she can look,, but it makes us feel guilty for coming in bothering/troubling them.. So we are limited to what we can go browse,, Lou

In our travels, we visited a lot of museums around over the country. I've always enjoyed doing that. I'd like to go back to the Smithsonian again, but I don't think it's likely that I'll ever do that.

OK, last one, because I am running out of my data plan for this billing cycle, but wanted everyone to see that I got to hang around with the neatest folks when I was in Oshkosh. I know that I was with the best looking guys anyway, and can say that they were definitely awesome pilots!

Oh, and pacerron, do "peanut fares" still exist? I had a vision that those were in the 70s.

I was mowing ROW's this morning totally destroyed a phone pedestal .. It just showed up and bang it was over.

With Bird bringing up Christmas, I thought I'd show a picture of what we picked in my garden this morning from our two little 50' rows of blackeyes. I titled this picture, "Peas on Earth, Good Will to Men." Two 5-gal buckets and an 8-qt bucket. While it's hot this afternoon, I'll be gettin' green thumbs from shellin' peas. We'll have good eatin' this winter and especially on New Years Day.:thumbsup:

Looks good, jinman! I didn't plant peas, this year. Maybe I'll rethink that for next year. Honestly, as squirrelly as this spring was, with the late frosts, etc., I was happy to have all of the last 50 tomato plants survive. They are still loaded, but not sure how much more producing they'll do. Might have to have some fried green tomatoes! :licking: You definitely have more garden space than I am doing, and therefore having a better yield. Thanks for sharing the pics! Maybe I'll expend next year, if we don't have such weird weather.

Lou,
Yes, you lay down on the bed to button and zip up jeans. Jumping up and down works, but laying down is better. If you don't wanna break a nail on the zipper, a small pair of vise grip pliers work mighty fine.:thumbsup:
