Already had it copied to my clipboard. You beat me by a few minutes. I did watch it however. Anxious to see the GM with the new direct injected motor. Spoiler alert..........ecoboost wasn't challenged.

The timed towing is pointless since they limited the trucks to 60 mph speed limit, so as long as each truck can maintain that speed, you're going to get very close times on the uphill tow. Without spilling too much, the Ford was able to maintain 60 mph for more of the run than the Toyota, but could have run much faster whereas the Toyota was pedal to the metal about the whole way. So, again, the timed runs are pointless to me anyway. Still an interesting test, and will be fun to see what the new 5.3 GM can do. Also, why no Dodge in the competition???

I completely agree. Also the testers don't seam to be that knowledgable. They obviously didn't have the gain on the brake controller set high enough in the ford. That much weight on the trailer and the gain should've been turned up to the max. Still fun to see how much the trucks struggle. Chevy should be out today.

Without a standardized brake controller setup on all three trucks, measuring the rotor temperature is a little pointless.

The Eco Boost hands down had the advantage.

As for Dodge my gut says it would have not done as well as the Tundra due to the rear axle ratio avaliable.

When doing a comparison of pulling power, axle ratios' need to be the same or darn close.

They were. Going to have the Dodge in the competition, ....it was going to have to towed by the Ford, just to keep it close!
