That makes at least as much sense as anything I can think of. Alternative is that he was trying to lift an immovable rock that was not centered in the grapple. However, that would mean he had really slow reaction time if he didn't drop the FEL when the tipping started. I'm still thinking motion was involved as the balance dynamics can change real quickly that way.
I think the tractor slipped while Ted was getting it ready to take it water skiing
Would probably do better skiing with the bucket then grapple tho, unless he was trying to remove fallen timber from the lake at the same time
