It's 9/11 and as I read through today's post's, My heart grieve's.I have not found any reference to the worst attack on U.S soil ever.Today I really dont care that your tractor is overheating, stuck in gear,What you own, hope to own,or classifify as a p.o.s. tractor.I also dont care if it is "politically correct" to post this...Here is to those that lost, and GAVE their live's on 9/11/01..

I recall where I was on that day, and many details that I would normally not recall. Sleeping late, being late for work, the radio on the way to work. Everyone in the conference room tuning into the live coverage. No one did any work that day, we shutdown the company early. It was a very sad day indeed. On the way to work today, and again this evening there was a radio show in remembrance. Doesn't seem like 12 years.

(that's all I can say without bashing political morons)

I posted the following in another thread today. Perhaps it belongs here ...

*********************

Yes, we have many thousands of men and women who serve the cause of freedom and they deserve our appreciation.

As an aside, speaking back to the events of 9/11, it seems we are verbally encouraged to remember but manipulated into forgetting. Why are the videos of planes hitting the buildings, people leaping hundreds of feet from windows and hitting the ground, buildings collapsing, people on the street being smothered by clouds of dust, not being shown. At a minimum, these events need to be replayed (unedited) on every anniversary and on every major news outlet.

Political correctness is our downfall. We can't openly identify our enemies for who and what they are. We can't claim moral superiority over these animals who routinely brutalize people of alternate faiths and behead the innocent on video, without being called bigots. We can't manage to actually issue a Declaration of War against those countries who foster and support these unnamed enemies. We aren't allowed to FINISH any military action that could be construed as a victory.

I just have to shake my head at how lost we have become as a nation, how ignorant we are of history, how government schools dumb-down generations of our young, how precarious our freedom and liberty have become in the hands of fools.

I am reminded of Benjamin Franklin's remark - "A republic madam, if you can keep it." Well, he was looking forward to this day - a day when laziness, greed, class warfare, unenforced borders, feckless and corrupt leadership and social despair have become the norm. My heart aches for what has become of the greatest nation the world has ever known. Even that great and proud history are being destroyed, as textbooks and wingnut professors rewrite our past and paint us as evil imperialists. The several generations of brainwashed youth, now voting, have become a force in blindly moving us toward tyranny.

"We're going to transform America!" Yes ... I'm afraid you have.

God bless those who fight our enemies, foreign and domestic.

There was a 2 million bikers to DC rally. They came from all over the US, even some from Canada. It is hard to find information, but several sources reported 800,000 motorcycles in DC. They were there to honor the fallen on 9-11. You can get some information on their facebook, perhaps some from The DC Ride: “We heard y’all had some crap up here in DC, how can we help”? Modern Day Minutemen Roll In To Town… and Roll, And Roll, And Roll, and still they come….. | The Last Refuge. Only 21 showed up for the Million Muslim March.

Never forget 9-11. God bless America.

Well written. We are a nation which was attacked and briefly brought to our knees. But we got back up. As long as we remain One nation under God we will prevail.
God bless this nation and those who fight to protect us!!

Modern America (post Gen X) had/has never been more united than following the attacks 12 years ago...

I find it revolting that more is not being done about the most American lives that have been lost to terrorist attacks since the 911 attacks...i.e., The Benghazi Attack...where four Americans lost their lives in the line of duty...yet the current administration would rather play political games which could lead to putting WMD's in the hands of actual terrorists and or start an all out 3rd world war...

If the US strikes Syria and they retaliate in any way...there is NO WAY it can or will be considered "an act of terrorism"...so supporting Israel, Jordan etc. etc...in the fallout will only lead to escalation that will not be funded by Anti-Terrorist legislation...

I often think about how 9/11 changed our lives and the world we live in forever without advertising it here.
Today is also the first anniversary of my Father's death, which, if not for this thread, I would not have publicized here.

The fact that I did not post a 9/11 tribute or a memorial to my Dad makes me no less a patriot or loving son.
One of America's biggest problems is thinking that complaining about others shortcomings or values constitute real action.
This is a tractor community, there is no shame in using it as such on any day of the year.
