In the US they use the metric system for their money!.

Can you imagine how much trade the US lost? being one of the last countries in the world still using this ancient system.

In Europe they were lucky that Napoleon forced the metric system upon them.

measurements are so much easier in metric.

Just my thoughts.

Remarkably, it is also a combination SAE and metric hammer too. What will they think of next?

The 2.5 cm hole in the handle is a great cheater for round things too. Another great feature.

Not sure but there be be a number system that's better than the base ten.

You sure it isn't a 2.54cm hole. If so then if you traced it the outside of the circle would be one inch and the inside 2.5cm. Brilliant.

Sure there is, binary. It only has two numbers, 0 and 1. That's gotta be easier. :confused2:

There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

binary sure isn't going to be a good way to measure for my recipes! :confused2:

So, how do you get a dozen eggs in Metric anyways?

Try that with fresh eggs.
Works just as well with the metric system as with the SAE system...

Ten is not without it's faults. Half of ten is five, a prime number, and it's all down hill from there for even divisions. To be very picky, ten things can't really be accurately divided into thirds due to 3.33333333333333333... etc.
Using the appropriate unit conversions (ie: M, CM, MM) you can get as accurate as you need to be. If you have tolerances tighter than 1mm, you would have fun with fractions in the SAE system anyways.
