I would do a leak-down or compression test first before you start diggin'.

THANKS GUYS,
what else could it be , I 've got blow by coming out of the crankcase breather
and the oil fill hole ,plus it smokes like a sailor out the exhaust??? (no offence to our service men & women) My stepson is in the AIRFORCE & my stepdaughter is in the COAST GAURD god bless them...
My compression testers have seen better days, so i'll go get another 1 tomorrow or Monday.
thanks again guys & what kind of jacks do I need to split her if I need, got an engine cherry picker 2.5 ton floor jack ,also 4x4 across 2x8 garage trusses 2 -1.5 ton com-a-longs if need...However this'll be 1st time ...hope I don't need to..if be I'll need the experience of people wiser than I in this dept. hope I can count on Y'all.
Thanks again ,
Phill

Splitting is not too bad. I just did a New Holland Tractor to replace a clutch.

Did you change the oil and get too much oil in it? Sometimes they don't take as much as advertised.

OK GUYS HERE GOES COMPRESSION TEST #1-300PSI-#2-440PSI-#3-350PSI ,THAT IS FROM FRONT TO BACK, (FIRING ORDER 1-3-2).....YES IT DOES HAVE THE BOTTOM BOLT ON PLATE...MY BOOK SAYS IT'S TO HAVE A COMPRESSION OF 18Kg/Cm2 OR 100 PSI...?????

NOT YELLING STILL CAN'T SEE WELL ... DOES ANYONE HAVE THE CORRECT COMPRESSION SPECS?

I would take those readings again only this time put about six squirts of engine oil in each cylinder just prior to testing them - one at a time for at least four complete revolutions. You have a maximum of 140 psig differential - that's a lot. That translates into high firing pressure differentials and a lot of uneven stress on the crankshaft. Hopefully a "wet" compression test will fare better.
At the bottom right corner of your browser window you should see a little magnifying glass with a plus mark inside it. If you hover your cursor over it you will get a pop-up saying "Change zoom level." If you click on the magnifying glass everything will get bigger. If you click on the drop-down arrow a dialog box will open giving you a choice of different magnifications to use. Hope this helps you.

well guys & gals I broke down split the tractor....sent the engine to be rebuilt...approx. 2 grand is what it is gonna cost....that's just to have it re-sleaved ,rings & pistons as they come as a set , head &valves h2o pump thermostat, and few other things ,like rod bearings crank checked can checked just waiting to get it back to install...will have to barrow pilot shaft clutches look fine ,repacked pilot bearing in flywheel,as dry ..when I get it back installed will let everyone know...P.S. DON'T TAKE CHANCE WITH AIR FILTER I SCREWWWWWWED UP....
