It wasn't in Vermont it happen in Maine. I have been going back and forth from Vermont and Maine. I went to get the wood and bring it to the church so they could bring it to the vet and family. It was so hard to talk to the pastor about the lost of the wood and that I could find a local company to donate to the non profit kanuwodi art retreat so we could give it to them.

Do NOT bring a load of firewood from Florida to Vermont.
You will be importing pests that are slowly destroying our forests in the Northeast. We have enough problems with caterpillars, wooly algids and keeping them darn Asian longhorn beetles out now.
Best is for someone local to Vermont to donate some wood. I'd bring you about cord and a half I from NH to have if I had a pickup to haul it in.

Stealing a guy's firewood is low. Stealing a vet's is even lower. And stealing a disabled vet's is punishable by taking each piece stolen and beating the thief with it.

Most states make it illegal just 'cause of this.. I knoe around here, its hard to go from more than a county over.
