Video posted on you tube showing our new Kubota L 3560 with an older Gannon 72" box blade grading some hard packed soil. Tractor has HST and two wheel weights on each side. I was amazed at the power and traction the tractor has. Let me know what you think.

Cheers

I would take it a little slower in reverse to reduce the risk of hitch damage to your tractor.

Nice tractor and box blade.

Nice tractor and box blade. I would operate the tractor the loader lower. Have you tried grading with the auto throttle advance?

Nice job. That looks like the old Gannon I just bought except mine has the hydraulic scarifiers. That's a lot of box blade for that tractor, but it looks like it handles it with ease.

Hi Roger,

I tried the auto throttle while operating in a loader operation and didn't really care for it in the short time I used it. The video was taken right after I took delivery of it. I will try grading with the auto throttle tomorrow and let you know. Another earlier post recommended taking it slower, the tractor was in low range with the AUTO HST engaged. It grades pretty darn good at that speed and the only way to slow it down was by throttle or backing off the motion control pedal. I have been in the grading business for a long time and I guess I was putting it through its paces and in the production mode. The box is one we use on a Ford 2810 and I put it on to try it out. I was shocked at how well it handled it with ease and how well the tractor was balanced. I have a Cammond 2C2 72" box with hydraulic scarifiers and hinged rear tailboard on order. That box should be about 300#s lighter. So far I absolutely love it. She was rolling some dirt! Will let you know.

I pretty much leave the auto throttle adavnce on all the time. If I am doing loader work I will set the throttle up to 2000RPM so the loader will be faster but I still leave the auto throttle on so I can go over 2000RPM and travel faster when I press the hydro pedal. Do you have a button on the loader joystick that revs the eninge up? The Cammond 2C2 should be a really good match.

Roger, that's good advice on leaving the throttle at 2000 rpm, never thought of it. Yes I do have the button on the loader joystick . Thanks

Interesting video. I've had my HST+ for over a year now and it took me a while to appreciate all the features and decide which works for me and I imagine I am not through learning. I use a Land Pride HR3584 on mine and it works really well. love a good heavy scraper like it the Gannon and others.

TripleR,
Great looking tractor! Do you like the top and tilt you have on your tractor? Right now I only have one remote which I use for power angling of a power rake and anticipated hydraulic scarifiers on the new box. The Landpride box you have looks heavy also, how much do you think it weighs? I had the Gannon from years past when we did alot of yard grading and it was almost too much for the 2WD Ford 2810 that it was on.

Thanks!
