Here are a few pictures of a shooting range I built a few weeks ago. I think I can shoot about 200 yards after checking with my range finder. So far I shot at it with the .44 mag and it has held up nicely. It was a good excuse to play with the Kubota.

Wow yours is nice. I only plan on using mine twice a year or so to sight in hunting rifles. I go else where to target shoot.

my wife and some neighbors use mine alot. Mostly doing close range practice with concealed guns. But shoot just about anything. I just wanted it to be safe for everyone.

Also, anyone using mine HAS to have had a range safety course... professionally taught.

we just had a guy get killed when a neighbor with a homemade range shot over the berm.
just this week here in florida, in my town no less

when building a shooting berm, err on the side of too tall and too wide.

my opinion, if you are going to bother building something like that, then do it right. I would suggest that you just do it in pieces and call what you have there the first stage.

I would do it in four or five stages, and make it four or five times bigger.

oh, and using wood or other stuff, and then piling dirt over it will require having to use less dirt...if you don't have an abundance of soil on your property

Anytime the picture of a range also shows a building that is beyond it I might question if that was the best location for the shooting range.

i think i paid around $10-12 each for the ties.....if i remember right. But my wife was looking over my shoulder while typing my last post...

I had to take her out to shoot. Just got back. Shot off 80 rounds of .38 in her LCR

She's getting to be a great shot
