The last tractor I remember with 3pt down pressure is some John Deere's like the 520/530 from the middle fifties. They had a spring that could be attached. Moving the big bales the weight of tractor and lifting force is more critical than HP.

Please tell me about your experiences with the Kioti lk3054. I've got a used one in mind to buy, but I need to know what kinds of problems they have, or if people love them to death.

I have an LK3054xs and I'm generally pleased with it (the xs is the newer version with somewhat wider track on the front wheels, a larger hydraulic pump and they moved the shift lever). I bought it used with ~600 hr. on it, at 750 now with no problems. The 3ph could be a little smoother operating, but that's about my only complaint. I have loaded R4's on mine. Very stable-feeling on hills.

Very helpful post - thank you. I'd read in a repair forum that someone had trouble with Kioti because of plastic mechanical parts. I had read that the 3pt was a little rough, so its good to have that from two sources.

I got the same info from a mechanic I talked to - he told me to find out the model number on the loader, and he could tell me the lift capacity. Is lifting force different from the lift capacity of the forks? "Lifting force" sounds more like a function of the tractor hydraulics, and whether its a sound system or has leaks. I'd love to hear more! Thanks for posting.

LK3054xs will lift somewhere around 1K with the bucket. Strong tractor. I've had no issues with my 2004. I run snowblower, backhoe, tiller, box blade all without a hickup. Nice tractor.
Large enough to load a one ton but not too big to get transported around easily by a 1 ton. I have yet to hit something I can't lift with the loader (well a 60 foot oak doesn't count, does it?).

No tractor, regardless of size has down pressure on the 3pt hitch.

That's not entirely true, I have a Belarus 310 that has down pressure, very handy feature makes you wonder why it isn't a standard feature these days.

I stand corrected, but very few modern tractors have down force on the 3 pt.

I just purchased a used Kioti LK3054 and when I tried it out all of the dash light functioned as they should, but when I unloaded it from the trailer the light that looks like a radiator stays on. I do not have a manuel so could someone tell me what the light is for?

Low coolant Check the surge tank; there is a coolant level line on the side of the bottle

Thanks, I checked the radiator and added coolant and light did not go off and I then filled the plastic container that solved the problem so evidently there is a sensor in the container. Sure is a nice tractor and it has everything on it that I wanted on a tractor and unless something unforeseen happens this one will be my last.
I am planning on ordering a manual so if anyone has the info from a website please let me know. Also, the last three digit number is 277 so does anyone know the year it was made for sure?
