Well after two months worth of staying up late researching tractors on tractorbynet and test driving tractors I decided today to buy the John 2520 over the b2620 kubota and the max28 mahrindra. I was fortunate to find a 2520 before the e4 emissions take into affect and decided to add the backhoe/loader combination to it. They have to order the backhoe but in ohio I don't plan on digging any holes till spring anyways. Thanks for all the previous threads that provided me good information and glad to be a John deere owner.

Dusty,

Would you care to share some of your thoughts of deciding the way you did? I think that I would like to upgrade to the 2520 or B2620 as well. What feature pushed you in the deere direction?

Thanks,

Frank

I looked around for a few months I almost went and purchased a max28 from Mahindra. The thing that worried me was the parts seemed to be priced high and I just was not sure of getting it serviced the max28 was 24,056.00 tractor backhoe and loader, I went to kubota and the quote I got was 25,959.00 for the b2620 I decided to head to John Deere which there name speaks for itself and no problem getting parts for a tractor. When talking to the salesmen they have parts back from tractors 40 years ago. I told the salesmen what I wanted and he quoted me the 2520 loader backhoe for 25,860.00. Lower than the kubota and only 1800.00 more than the Mahindra. I looked at deere as an investment with a better resale value which I dought I will ever sell.
max28. 24,056.00
Kubota. 2620. 25,959.00
jD. 2520. 25,860.00
Thanks

I've had a 2720 for about a year now and it's been worth every penny. Same tractor with a little bigger engine. I also researched it do death and sat on as many other brands as I could. I've used the loader and the PTO many times over the past year and it's been a huge help around my property. I used to rent equipment and now I just pull it out of the garage, which is great. Good luck with it and congratulations on buying a really nice piece of equipment.
