Pallets in fields

I think that I have found the answer. The pallets are just the beginning. After adding a few sheets of plywood and a 5 gallon bucket for plumbing, this will be the new type of rural condo.

Jim Shooz Q

Jim Shooz Quote 2: How can I get a job like that

Try your local RNZN Recruiting Office; if you have the desired pre-qualifications you may be able to 'jump right in'... in about a year from induction [having first passed your basic training, security vetting and psychological assessment]. Best of luck, Mate!

Hang on. I'm 76 so I'm getting close to my Use By date so I don't think they would be desperate enough to take me (but you never know our Navy, they might be)

If a rat is experiencing .....a backdoor breeze event, flatulence if you will. This rat is then consumed by a snake.....would then the snake produce a "Havana Omelet" or similar gastrointestinal distress?

A Havana Omelet? I think they served those on the mexicana airline when I went to Cancun :)

Everybody SHHHHHHH!

Texas is now Testing

Now we wait . . .

Still waiting.

The perspective of the photo may be deceiving but I have to wonder if the asymmetric angles are prohibiting the detection of any visible effect or reactions. I too have placed a couple of pallets in formation and have casually and periodically monitored for any signs of energy... but I wonder about angle, orientation, and slat direction, among other possible variables. I fear that our feeble attempts experimenting without documenting and controlling these measurable parameters will just raise additional questions. Not to mention... Okay I will mention, I assume you are only observing in the range of the naked eye and have not employed the 'glasses' to monitor a wider spectrum?

Typical rookie mistakes. In your rush to conduct an "experiment," you have neglected the basics of experimental design. This checklist should help you correct the flaws in your experiments. Pay special attention to item 12 -- you should be blinded during the experiment.

1. How many factors does the design have? and are the levels of these factors fixed or random?

2. Are control conditions needed, and what should they be?

3. Manipulation checks; did the manipulation really work?

4. What are the background variables?

5. What is the sample size. How many units must be collected for the experiment to be generalisable and have enough power?

6. What is the relevance of interactions between factors?

7. What is the influence of delayed effects of substantive factors on outcomes?

8. How do response shifts affect self-report measures?

9. How feasible is repeated administration of the same measurement instruments to the same units at different occasions, with a post-test and follow-up tests?

10. What about using a proxy pretest?

11. Are there lurking variables?

12. Should the client/patient, researcher or even the analyst of the data be blind to conditions? Yes.

13. What is the feasibility of subsequent application of different conditions to the same units?

14. How many of each control and noise factors should be taken into account?

Havana Omelette. Postiche. What a learning experience this has been tonight! Blueriver has been strangely silent on his progress with the double-blind experiment protocol of bagging a coyote while wearing a bag on his own head? I thought that was a good idea and rich with possibilities. I must say I am somewhat surprised that Robert chose scatological humor over the research possibilities presented by the serious study of constrictor flatulence. It must be a difficult life. A short, near-sighted Capuchin monkey, always looking up--but it does explain the attentiveness to scatology I suppose, and I do not blame him. In the hopes of lifting his spirits, and gaze, a bit higher, I propose an area of research that he is practically destined to by birth--organ grinding.

This is very complicated experiment to conduct .. Do you know how hard it is to find a paper sack ?? Not as easy as when you were a kid .. Remember a couple of those dates you had .. If I recall you kept paper sacks in the back seat !!!

This is getting complicated. Is there anyway we can contact the original designers to get their specifications and of course their expectations. I might be trying to get something I don't want!

I do not think the results of the experiment would be compromised by substituting feed sacks for paper sacks.

There is the remote possibility that the substitution will constitute a breach of etiquette. We will have to delay progress, yet again, until Emily rules on this issue.

I expect nothing will show up that cannot be handled by a grapple. Failing that, Whipper will save you.

Paper bags????

Do you not realize that you will be the object of ridicule when you indicate that you used paper bags in the "Materials and Methods" section of your scientific report?

Do you not realize that professional scientists use special devices that assure blindness in experiments?

Do you not realize that these devices are available at your local science store?
