I will be taking my research to the areas of Singapore/Thailand for the next couple weeks. I will try to look at the pallet conundrum from a different slant in hopes that maybe looking from afar will help enlighten us. That said, Wagtail's vantage point hasn't yielded much so my outlook is tempered.

Two vantage points!

1) This isn't the 'season' for the pallet erections in the Southern Hemisphere. I'm working with a blank, scientific, canvass down here therefore I [and Jim Shooz in NZ] can do a lot of preliminary research if the Northern Hemisphere can provide me with pertinent data. (I notice that no one from Europe or Asia has 'chimed in'... Hmmm)

2) Looking up! Which is great when it comes to (legal age) ladies skirts... but bad when it comes to blokes from Scotland or Tonga.

I have to disagree It can't be markers for a snowmobile trail coz the one I found (with oneeyed alien occupant) never has any snow near it. I think I saw a frost there.....once. About 2003.

In the olde days, before nails were invented (or common in the early Holocene epoch) stones and natural features were used of course. Nothing is made like it used to be, hence we have cheap-azz pallets for Ley Line markers in the Late Holocene epoch.

Someone, many pages prior, mentioned concrete arrows used to direct airplanes. However, they failed to fully develop this thought, or apply for patent protection. I am claiming it as my very own. Pallet Ley Line Patent #8220045-47 Pending.

The mystery of Ley Lines and their true purpose have always been shrouded in the mists of time. I have answered the question of what the pallets are, and I will now focus on the why. Given the transitory nature of wooden objects, compared to the lasting durability of stone, it is imperative that all existing pallet formations are documented and loaded into Google Maps for future analysis.

I can foresee someone who claims to know something about statistical analysis leveling criticisms of the Pallet Ley Line theories. Well, think about this: given the statistics of human fertility, those nay-sayers shouldn't even exist. Male poo-pooers who managed to beat the statistical odds of existence (or had diligent, hard-working parents), had a roughly 49% chance of being girls. How do they explain that?
