Yep you got me...I meant to type RASH OF NEW POSTERS, but a finger must have slipped, or the synapse firing from a dented chromosome sent the electrical impulse on an errant mission..........or maybe it was just the Cuervo:drink:

Hmmmm, it just dawned on me that the PLAO(Peoples Liberation Army of One-liners) may have successfully infiltrated TBN and my brain////{gasp}

I dare say that is a one liner disguised as a four liner described by this one liner.

Are saying my disguise was not effective? :laughing:

Not saying thanks... A 'Thanks' button.. Or 'give me a kudos by clicking the Kudos button', Facebooks 'Likes', etc..
Ah, well, as you can tell, I know nothing about facebook, my space, your space, tweeter, yelp, snap chat, imgur etc.... just TBN! :laughing:

passing thoughts...(like gas)

FWIW..a large number of visiting "guests" are search engine bots...

It would be nice to have a (maybe anonymous) way of acknowledging that a particular post was helpful...that does not require an actual reply...

pet cheese...er I mean peeve...: when someone posts asking for a professional's advice/opinion on a particular issue/item and all the wayward,tangent (and amateur) replies that it garners that have to be waded through to find the pros responses...

The reality is anyone on here can claim to be a professional. And there are many amateurs that have some good advice. And a professional, for example, a lawyer or engineer, isn't going to give advice freely as 1. its their livelihood and 2. it opens them up to the wonderful world of lawsuits and 3. some non-professional starts arguing with their professional opinion..... etc.... This board is about friendly advice and enjoying the conversation, maybe learning something, or teaching something, all on a public street corner. You're going to have to take the comments of the people passing by, and you're going to be heckled by the drunk guy standing next to the dumpster. :thumbsup:

And then when you've about given up on humans, they come thru. Last night some friends and us went to Des Moines for a Concert. We left the auditorium and drove a few blocks further downtown to eat at 11 p.m. We finally found a parking spot on the street with parking meters. We got out and were fumbling for meter change when I heard a man's voice loudly saying "excuse me". I looked around and there was an elderly gentleman in rumpled clothes holding a bottle in a sack and swaying. He said you folks don't hafta feed the meters after 6 p.m. I thanked him and shook his hand and we walked off. The drunk guy standing next to the dumpster helped us out. Renewed me. :)
