How to convince the wife to let me get one

My wife had already made all the arrangements with the Kubota dealer for my M8540 she only told me she was going to buy it for me because she wanted to make sure it was what I wanted. She found the quote I had gotten a few months prior (I'd been dreaming for 8 years). she took the day off and went to the dealer and started the paperwork. At the last minute she had to ask me didn't want to make a $40,000 error.

I have never had a lot of trouble getting the wife on board after she learned what tractors can do. It is mostly her projects that it does anyway and neither of us are getting any younger. We spread about 10 yards of gravel by hand many years ago before we had a "real" tractor with a FEL, and it darn near killed both of us doing it with shovels, and a stupid lawn mower pulling a board with handles on it around with some chain. It would have taken my present tractor way less than an hour. I have the tractor you see in my avatar, and while I have 7 acres, I can only run around on 3 or 4 of it with a tractor, and I have a rather larger tractor than a B2650, so I don't have any problem with your choice of tractor at all.

I have had 3 tractors on this property alone, and each one bigger than the last one.! Tractors in general are great labor saving devices, and the guy that invented the hydraulic powered Front End Loader was a genius and I owe him a lot! Go talk to the wife and get your machine. If you need my wife to help, that can be arranged.

Wife swap lol I don't think most guys would put up with her she does a good job of telling you where she stands on some thing and where you can go.

maybe the OP's wife needs a little vacation like an early spring cruise to the Caribbean to soften her up for a tractor purchase. You can get a lot out of your wife 3 days into a cruise with a couple of fruity mixed drinks down the hatch, especially if you leave the kids on shore.

Good point - I'm out of the running as my wife was 'trained' by four brothers & four uncles.
