Diamond Gusset jeans were made in Dickson, TN until they recently moved their manufacturing shop to Georgia. Best jeans I have ever worn, but expect to pay more than for a pair of Levi's. www.gusset.com

I'am not a duck hunter but I treasure my Bob Allen "Ducks Unlimited" heavy hunting jacket. Seems like I've have had it over 20 years. Made in Des Moines,Iowa. I would imagine there are still made in USA !

Many thanks to Blade Breaker for links that many don't realize are out there.

Manufacturing in America has shifted from indigenous production to marketing from a computer screen and global sourcing of goods. Cabelas, Gander M, and others want to be our clothiers, not just our sporting 'outfitters'. Even TSC has a lot more 'thread' than just farmyard wear these days. A shift toward easier profits has led to lighter mat'ls, fewer buttons (if not pockets), and other shortcuts. Levi wearers have been up in arms about a recent obvious 'cheapening' of particular lines.

Still, you get what you pay for when you buy American (..made!), .. clothes that last thru' untold washing cycles and jobs for our workers. What I miss is local sources to buy quality US-made work-wear. Turns out I need a computer for that now, too.

The reason there's a limited amount of "made in the USA" clothes is that no one is willing to pay for them. I'm a big fan of buy American, but for some things, where its made isn't as important as how much it cost. Other things it really matters, but only to a few. Generally not enough to keep a major clothing manufacturer working in the US. Carharts only saving grace is the construction industry.

Here's the reason:
Tow bags "similar" one from China 39.99 2012 HOT Selling! desigual bags free shipping women fashion handbag+pu +lCanvas+eather+shoulder+messenger bag -in Messenger Bags from Luggage & Bags on Aliexpress.com
The similar bag made in the USA is $360.00 Tote Briefcase - Color Block | Filson.
Now you boys may like throwing an additional $320.00 in the trash, but for me I'd rather use that extra $320.00 on an American meal, American milk, American corn, etc. This argument of buy America is getting old, and quite frankly pretty foolish.
As I understand thing people would rather pay 10 times for something because it's made in America, rather than spend the 90% they could have SAVED on other American goods. I hope you all see the ignorance in that reasoning. Unless your all millionaires and you spend 10 times the price for goods PLUS you buy American milk etc. Actually that doesn't make you any less foolish, it still makes you wasting your money.

Dang expensive but made in USA clothes, bags, and stuff from American Brand: Quality Outerwear, Outdoor Clothing, and Bags | Filson is top notch. I can't afford it but if I could, I would have a collection of their products.

I have about 6-8 Filson products...granted, they're expensive but extremely well made (although not very fashionable since some of the designs stem from the early 1900's).
One jacket I highly recommend is the Tin Cruiser jacket....not overly expensive and does handle inclement weather extremely well. With layering, it's an all-year round jacket.

I bought a pair of Roundhouse Overalls several years ago...
14 oz. heavy duty duck denim with full double knees...
Great product...
My son liked them so much I had to get him a pair also...
Excellent product at a very good price...
I have never purchased any of their jeans but plan to when I need some...

A lot of this has to do with which products we're discussing, tho'. With 'fashion' items, one may pay heftily for 'American arrogance' and bragging rights to what they project as within their budget. The 'rich' didn't get that way by spending top dollar, and many who flaunt their bling-ety accoutrements are in debt up to their eyeballs trying to look wealthy. My work-wear budget can accommodate a few extra buck for clothes that fit/hold-up better, & that's where I'll go a step beyond the norm.

btw: Ya gotta pick yer battles, and this arena is about what we wear daily when 'on the job'. If we generalize/postulate about 'the way things are & why' it's another can of worms altogether, and tractors, cars, tools, many other 'durable goods' are a bit different than clothing. I hardly think it's fair to blame consumers for business practices brought to you by cheap foreign labor and (government support of) company profits trumping customer quality. That we've become a 'disposable society' just makes things worse.
