I need a 4wd tractor to do 2 things. mow about 10 acres with some steep hills and drag a drive with gravel. I have had Kubota's, Kioti's and a Bobcat compact tractors. But I am pretty poor right now. Need the mostest for the leastest.

Northern Tools does not sell crate tractors as far as I know.

My opinion: Crate tractors should only be imported by individuals with a good mechanical ability in order to give them the proper set up and initial adjustments. Too many people have imported them without that ability and have contributed greatly in giving them a bad name. For that reason, most dealers won't import crate tractors for you. Most likely you will have to self import. Lots of hoops to jump through. The savings may or may not be worth it. Are you going to do your own warranty work?

Try checking out China Best Products - as far as I know, they still sell crated tractors. Checkout their website for latest information.

I bought my tractor through them and everything went well and I have no problems with the way it all went. I think CBP is probably your best bet as they are well established by now.

I built a crate tractor, a JM354 Jinma, and am really happy with the results. I made modification to suit me as put it together. There was NO warranty to speak of and I am okay with that because of price. That was 12 years ago and still feel like I made the right decision. I did my home work though and knew what I was getting into. I really felt as though the "standard brands manufacturers" just were not honoring there warranties and just wasn't furnishing a good bang for the buck. I like the low tech approach of the Chinese tractors. The few replacement parts have been mail ordered and came in a reasonable time. Any way a crate tractor can be a good deal for some people. At the time I bought mine I was able to find a dealer that had one in inventory. bjr
