Thankfully the kitty was there to help him..I know a lot of people don't like cats, and don't think cats have any loyalty, but it just isn't true, some cats become very attached to their owners and the family, just like some dogs. It just depends on the animal.. If I was that mom, I would go buy kitty a case of Tender Vittles, or what ever he likes the best.:thumbsup:

I'll bet the cat just hates dogs and is not really interested in protecting the child. Thats the truth about cats. I love em, but they just use us.

have had 2 cats like that .... they just hated dogs and that was all there was to it ....

one set the run on a pack of local dogs that were tearing up the neighborhood garbage .... he left them alone till they reached the end of the driveway , then they were fair game ... never saw them again ... 1 cat VS 5 dogs , they didn't stand a chance.

the other will tolerate dogs as long as they don't come on the property ... live and let live ... come on the property ( even in a car ) and you're dead meat ...

both are nice cats and don't scratch , even when kids play rough with them.

Cat probably saw the kid as part of his family and the dog was "dog" ... (Cat's thoughts = patience my A** , I'm going to kill something).

I've known of a few dogs...even had one once.....that would of killed that cat in a hearbeat.
