Many will say local Dealer support and longevity is very important.
Some brands have come and gone and leave owners holding the bag and this might be why the reference?
I also own a much larger TLB and find I use my BX most of the time...
You might also consider renting or hiring out a large one time project and then have a smaller machine to maintain things.
Funny thing about some sub and compact tractors is there is often not much to be saved buying used unless you happen to stumble upon a great deal locally which can happen.
My brother spent about 3 months checking out Tractors for sale and finally bit the bullet and bought a new L3800... he could not be happier and it really was not too much more than what he was looking at used plus he has a warranty.
