How's the progress

I'm doing this just to annoy my pesky neighbor and since we are zoned agricultural there is nothing they can do or say about it. This is Buckwheat, when it flowers I'll cut it down and plant Daikon radishes. They get ticked, I get soil amendment.

This cleared part of the field I'm reclaiming will never have anything allowed to grow on it so that it can turn into a dust bowl. Prevailing winds will make for much more cleaning at their place.

Dude, I am glad you are not one of my neighbors.
I have neighbors from gentleman farmers to rednecks to an addition across the road that sprang up 5 years after I purchased my land.

Not one of them would I try to just arbitrarily p*ss off

Life is to short not to try to live life in good humor

Nothing arbitrary about it. They are from the city and came out here calling codes, animal control, police for the kinds of things that are everywhere in a rural farming community. Implements stored outside, parts trucks parked around, free ranging dogs, chickens, overgrown fence lines, etc.

I am being kind, the rest of the neighbors want to burn them out.

Go back and read the whole thread before casting judgement on something you don't know squat about or move back to the city too, Dude.

free ranging dogs

I was with you up until then. A neighbor of mine's dogs get onto my property with some regularity and kill my chickens. I put up an electric fence, which keeps them out most of the time, but not all of the time. I have to keep my driveway gate closed or they come up it, which means any package that doesn't fit in my mailbox, I have to drive to the post office to pick up, instead of it being left on my porch. Also, I have to get out of the car twice every time I go in or out my driveway. I haven't got the least bit of patience for anybody who lets their dogs free roam to make problems for their neighbors.

But I still haven't called animal control on the guy or done anything to harass him.

I'm with you. I could care less who stores what outside but keep your dogs off my property. You are a lot kinder about it than I would be, especially after your animals get killed. People that are too lazy to control their dogs shouldn't have them.

I have read the entire post, as a matter of fact I have been subscribed to the entire post since its inception.
Maybe YOU are the one who needs to read the whole thread again

This entire thread is about a bad neighbor, in which you seem to me to be one!

And had you posted SOME of your facts initially in your post I MAY have had some sympathy for you.

Once again, I will take my neighbors over you any day

As a matter of fact IMHO this thread is even more about how neighbors should be more like Shield Arc and show grace patience and restraint when dealing with other people.

He has had many chances when he could have done very un neighborly things, but has let the law do its thing

Don't get me wrong. If a stray dog is on my property and I catch it, I send it off with animal control. And if it ever was harassing my chickens when I had a shotgun nearby, I would shoot it, although that hasn't happened yet. So far, they run off before I can get the shotgun. But I don't see any point in sending animal control over. I have personally been over to talk to the guy, and it hasn't had an effect. It just doesn't seem worth it to get the law involved. Then I would be, "that city guy who moved into our nice neighborhood and started calling the cops on everybody."

I'm in total agreement and I love dogs.
