I called Mike this morning to let him know today was going to be tomorrow for our arrival. I attempted to start Lucy and she groaned like an old old girl instead of just an old gal. She'll be twelve this year and the second set of batteries, there are three, is long of tooth. One even took a dive which weakened the remaining two. So instead of limping down south this morning I was able to change out the battery and do a better job of getting ready. For us this is an opportunity to enjoy the fifth wheel and get away from the bustle and hustle of work these days.
A couple of years ago I went through the shoulder and other maladies and had just about decided life was going to be semi-retired from then on. Well, shoulder is better than new and I find myself doing physical work I wouldn't even have attempted at 63 and here I am a couple of weeks shy of 66 and getting after it, again. The life is good signature has never meant more or tasted sweeter.
