FWIW...there is a forum/message board for Vbulletin owners/users and you can find out anything you want to know about the software...
disclaimer...I own several licenses for the software...and TBN is an excellent example of how a message board should be managed...IMO!

That's your opinion and may not agree with mine. Surprises me just how much this thread has been discussed....and BTW, the member I was wondering about as to not responding to my PM never did so I assume I ticked him off, something I seem to be really good at here. Apologies to him and even more to the others here who don't like me....yeah, like I give a flying flick.....

My personal opinion that's all. When I think of a well managed forum, this is the last one that would come to mind. Or perhaps I mean moderated?? There is a difference between managed and moderated. It just seems that TBN has become more of a drama zone in the last couple years rather than the wealth of information it once was. Don't get me wrong, the information is still there, there is just a whole bunch of BS you have to wade through to get to the good stuff.

I think this summed it up possibly better than I'd ever be able to
Maybe they have moved on to a tractor forum instead of this coffee clatch lunch counter social networking hya doin' meetin' place.

Or maybe they are pulling some triggers while trying to decide whether there are too many questions about converting a pto genset into a natural gas heat sink reverse osmosis solar pumping windmill by using only a 3 phase tombstone. (My favorites are the ones who start off by disqualifying themselves with "Now I don't know anything about this or that but in my opinion ...")

Or they could just be out baling their hay with a brand new 900 hp purple tractor that makes just one bale out of all the hay from 200 acres. Nothing less will do ! As we all should know by now, anybody using less power is an idiot. The fact that some idiots are able to get it done with 20 hp just implies they are also morons and missing some vital male parts.

Now where on my tractor should I mount my Steinway grand piano ?

I guess it depends on the information you are looking for.

Yes, this is one of the most "social, talk about anything under the sun" forums there are. And alot of that comes from have so many members. But that is also its asset.

IF you are looking for information by simply just browsing or searching TBN, then this is not one of the best forums for that. Because while the quantity of info is there, there is far more of the "social thing" going on.

BUT, if you ASK a question, you get a vast wealth of information in a short period of time. Unlike other forums that may take several days to get a single reply to a question, on TBN, you get several replys in hours usually. Not always, cause some questions not many know the answers to. But for the most part, if you need to ask a question, this is a great forum to do it on.

:2cents:

Piston, In my opinion, this tractor forum has been expanded. If you have your tractor and your implements and you have helped hundreds of others, this is like a little welcomed break adding personalities and and ideas outside tractor related subjects. If you strictly want to stay on the tractor subject just don't wander and explore the different social segments of this forum. This is kind of a one stop forum. See you on the Good Morning Thread!

LD1 - we were posting at the same time - well said.

What ever happened to the baby pig, I don't think I ever made it to the end, and now it's so far back I don't know if I'll ever find it.
