USPS at work

To me the service all three provide started degrading when they quit using their own employees and went to independent contractors. The best is UPS when it's my regular route guy. UPS states they don't use contractors for delivery, just hauling freight, but more and more I get someone in a UHaul rental van dropping off UPS packages. USPS contract delivery driver no longer gets out of her vehicle, just leaves you a card to go to town if it's a package or needs a signature. The FedEx delivery independent contractor only comes my way every 3 days as he says it's not cost effective to drive that far for one delivery, even though I am only three miles from the city limits. Their website says "out for delivery" and then updates that night to "Delivery not attempted" for a day or two.

I have had FedEx say they could not find my address, even though they have been here 30+ times. I think they just do not care if and when they get it there.

Fedex was always the worst on the Virginia coast where we used to live and also here in Sacramento. Recently had a driver refuse to leave box of cat food on the front porch on grounds it was too valuable. Same front porch where UPS drops everything no questions.

Are you sure the package originated in Florida? Sometimes you buy things at a much different address than where they actually are made/warehoused.

USPS has been pretty good here also. If you ordered it 2 days ago with 3 day Priority you might get it today. If not today then probably Monday. I've had many items shipped from Calif. on Monday and rec'd here in NY by Fri.
No I ordered it last Saturday, and it shipped Tuesday morning.

USPS tracks it as shipping from FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida, going to Chattanooga, going to Michigan, and it's on it's way back to Tennessee. Hopefully they discovered their mistake and I'll see it Monday or Tuesday.
