Maybe you even stepped up and built a processor like I just did... But it pales in comparison to this build... Its in German, but the video is pretty awesome, even if you dont understand whats being said. Watch with the sound off :laughing: Its quite a machine.

I can only imagine the cost, if I was to guess I bet $200,000+. There is 100k in the truck alone. Ya better be a serious wood burner

Pick-a-roon or hook-a-roon. Can be very handy when unloading a truck bed or trailer.

Some folks use the for moving small logs or rounds but I prefer using log tongs for these purposes.


Note: If ordering a pick-a-roon off the internet, use caution on ordering a "pipe" handled one. Some of the pipes are too large of a diameter to fit hands comfortably. Find out what the diameter is & try holding a similar diameter piece of pipe to determine if it will work for you. I prefer the wooden handled ones myself.

Thanks, I'll look around and see what I can find. I had not seen one with a short handle like that. Locally they are not call pick-a-roon or hook-a-roon, I can't remember what they are called though.

It's a question I get all the time from my house guest from Europe... they can't understand how heating with wood is a bad thing in California...

Europeans take wood heating very seriously... they see home grown wood as a means to reduce dependence on foreign oil.

The Swiss company shown in the video is one of many that concentrate on efficient wood processing.

Pellet heat is also big in the area where my friends come from and often is fully automated... the pellets are bought by the truck load and a suction system... sometimes in a detached garage keeps the stove stoked.

The most frequent comment I hear is the people of America are truly rich when they can afford to pay to have wood taken away as garbage instead of using for home heating...
