If you don't know what carpenter bees are, QUICK look them up and get to work on eliminating them. They can insidiously weaken your wood structures. Not quite as bad as termites, but a close second. They are rather easy to deal with, but you have to be diligent to get them stopped.

hang, on.. I first read that as quarter inch size holes, but you said quarter sized. So not carpenter bees in the later case.. In fact that sounds like small woodpeckers.

De nada, I'm just happy to be around to tell the tale...

Speaking of which a patient I saw recently (since my events) is 11 days older than me, and not only did he get stung on the lip last week, he got stung again yesteday on his arm. He doesn't get anaphylaxis (the life-threatening kind of allergic reaction), he just swells up over the next 24-48 hours...

If I had gotten stung where he did (or anywhere on my face), it would have been quite likely I'd have taken a dirt nap.

Years back I was shredding pasture on my 3600 and lightly bumped an old rotted log with my shedder's tail wheel while i was making a tight turn. A HUGE swarm of honey bees came buzzing out. I kicked the Ford into 5th gear and gunned it and somehow escaped them. Scared the crap out of me though.

The next day I started shopping for a cab tractor.
