hydraulic line leaks at banjo fitting

I have a hard hydraulic line to the top of the John Deere 2210 Trans that leaks where it goes into the collarof the banjo fitting. It does not appear to leak in the usual top and bottom of the banjo fitting. So my question is how is this hard line mated to the collar of the banjo fitting so it does not leak? Are there special tools to attach them together? Soldered or brazed? The photo shows the hard line front center going back to the banjo fitting-it leaks where the hard line goes into the collar of the banjo fitting. Mel with the leaking John Deere

G'day they are usually just brazed into the banjo so just pull him off and re braze jobs done

Should be a copper washer on each side of fitting sometimes these have to be replaced.

First you should figure out where the line is leaking. Sometimes steel lines will crack and leak. Brazing will fix that. If the lines are leaking where the banjo bolt goes through then replacing copper washers might help. If the banjo fitting has been overtightened crushing it slightly then the easiest way to fix that is to file both sides level again. Try to keep the sides parallel. If you replace the line then having a hydraulic hose made up witht the proper ends is usually cheaper than buying a ready made line from the dealer

Looks like you got your answer, so i'll throw my experience in with it. The banjos on my loader valve were suppose to be retorqued after a certain number of hours because apparently they like to work loose. I never did it, and they started leaking a while back, I snugged them back down and have been good since.

If you remove the banjo fitting you release the forces on the copper washers. Before re-installing the banjo, it is best to re anneal the copper washers to soften them so they can conform to the surface variations. You just heat the washers until they are a dull red and allow to cool slowly. Very easy to do.

I would check the brazed are and make sure whether it is bronze or silver. Silver solder is what I have normally found on banjo fittings. Still a easy fix, just need to make sure you use the right material to do the brazing with.
