Comparison Kioti or Mahindra, new holland

Let's be realistic tho ... I wouldn't expect to get much at all for two OLD tractors like that. No offense, but tractors like those are really meant for the private market and are basically collectibles. If I was a dealer, I wouldn't want them on my lot, trying to sell them.

My opinion...

I cannot question the "value" of anyone's trade. I merely made a statement to demonstrate that the "trades" may not be creating a large differential in pricing.
I didn't say "I think they are stealing your trades" or "boy are you getting screwed on your trades" if that is how you misinterpreted my remark. My post was pure matter of fact with no judgment on the transaction what so ever but more concentrative on what I thought may have been more important considerations for the purchase.

I agree with you, was just making a general statement.

McCormick is the exact same as Kioti except for the paint, even the loader. HST is very nice, I don't know why a non shuttle tranny is even made any more, that's the big thing against the Mahindra. .

Unless I am misinterpreting your statement of "exact same", I thought McCormick was presently made in Italy at Landini? There X10 series have Daedongs as engines and one of their x10's look exactly like CK30 Kioti but in another picture, they look nothing alike so I'm confused. Also, Mahindra certainly does offer shuttles. They are still called "geared tractors" even with the shuttle shift. They use two: one the more traditional type and the other what they call "power shuttle" where no clutching is necessary to go back and forth.

In the Mahindra 10 series tractors, you have to go to the 6110 to get a shuttle tranny. All the other 10 series are a std gear transmission with 3 ranges or HST. Yes other series of Mahindra tractors have shuttle and some have shuttle or power shuttle transmissions. The 10 series tractors which are manufactured by TYM for Mahindra do not have a power shuttle available.

Holy moly, now it turns out that an 8N was also included in the trade allowance previously mentioned, the price has changed, and more importantly, you say you haven't actually spoken to the dealer on the phone, or in person?

Boil it down to brass tacks, and forget all the fluff. A DK50SE HST is about a $25,000 machine, cash price. The matching backhoe is going to be somewhere in the neighborhood of $7K (roughly $1K per foot). That puts you at about $32K total, cash price. Financing will normally be somewhat higher than that. It sounds like the dealer is quoting you a price somewhere in the $32K ballpark if you stick to the $4500 for the 5000 and 8N trade in, which isn't a crazy number.

Personally I think a 7' backhoe would be small for this size machine.
I run an 8 1/2' backhoe on a DK 35 and wouldn't want any smaller
A backhoe would be closer to $8500 (At $1000 per foot)

Good point...that would be a bit small for a DK50. In that case, the math makes the dealers offer even better.

No, I'm pretty sure McCormick uses a Woods loader.

Yes, I know its a Woods loader, but the capacity is almost identical, which is what I meant when I said they are the same. My Kioti Dealer sells both Kioti and McCormick. Some standard features may be different between the 2 as well.

My understanding of it was that Daedong makes the tractor, and woods makes the loader, that's what the dealer told me, but he or I may be wrong.

Ok guys my tractor search is coming to a end soon. Hopefully tomorrow Ill be purchasing a tractor. So here are my final choices with prices. I may of earlier got some of the prices mixed up so here is the latest update to which I am narrowed down. Let me know what you think.

1. McCormick x1050h with loader and woods backhoe bh80x and a canopy. $32000. 0 percent financing for 60 months. .09 for 72 and 84 months. This tractor is hydrostic 49 hp.

2. Kioti 5410 with loader and backhoe and canopy. Must take demo with industial tires. $28000. They are willing to give 4000 trade for my Ford 5000 Tractor That makes the total $24000. I took the 8 N off the table. Financing for this unit will be 5 percent for 84 months. This tractor is 45 Hp with shuttle shift

3. Mahindra 5010 with loader, back hoe and canopy. I can pick either type of tires. $28750. They are giving 4000 trade for the Ford 5000. Makes the total 24750. Financing 5 percent for 84 months. This tractor is a 49 Hp with Gear shift 9 fwd and 3 reverse.

The Mahindra out specs the other 2 tractors.
The Kioti is the least expensive
Most people here seem to like the hyrostatic. The Mahindra dealer says they give costly problems. But he can't offer one in that compares to the McCormick. My wife really is ready for me to end my tractor search. Please give your input on which of these deals you would pick and Why.

My uses are bush hogging. Finish mowing. Driveway grading, diging up stumps. digging for field lines and etc.
