Chevy vs Ford for work truck

Sorry timster2, the reason they buy Fords is because they hold up. There is no way Ford will come in on a bid lower than a Dodge. I do see some municipal trucks that are GMC, but never ever Dodge. They sell cheap because they are built cheap.

You need to get out more then. I see Ram Ambulances, Plow trucks and Tow trucks on a daily basis. To say you "never" see a Dodge is BS. Many municipalities use them, along with almost every other brand.

I have never seen a single Ram Municipal Truck or large fleet truck and I travel each corner of this country on a monthly basis.

See some GM but for every one I see 95 Ford's. Heck around here Nissan has taken over the fleet Van Segment.

Rams are very commonly used by municipalities here in Ontario, Canada and by contractor fleets too.

I hate to tell everyone, myself included, but the OP said what he bought, why he bought etc, I'd think that would be the end of this thread.

I don't have blinders. Owned Ford, GM, Nissan, Honda, BMW, Dodge, Toyota, Lexus, ect. Without any doubt I feel my Ford trucks were a step above my Dodges and GM's. My Nissan Titan was above the Ford's. My next truck will be a Cummins Nissan unless something changes.

Let's face it. For it is the best. I am on my fourth F1 50 pickup truck, all Supercrews.

I buy them because they're cheap, have the best features, the best reliability, and are very roomy inside and look nice.

Make no mistake about it, however. If the other guys produce a better truck next time around, I am gone. I have absolutely no brand loyalty whatsoever.

The perfect consumer, yes?

Fact is Fiat has made great strides but they are not even on the same page as Ford and GM in sales.Chris

Be careful you don't under estimate RAM, they may not be the top dog in sales but every vehicle they build is sold and they are building at capacity;
Chrysler squeezes more Ram trucks from Warren plant

RAM's market share is 21.3%, three points behind Silverado, 11 points ahead of Sierra, and 12 points ahead of Toyota. That puts RAM in the number three slot. I'd say that not only puts them on the same page, but at the top of the page too.

I've noticed in this thread and others you make a lot of wild statements but you constantly fail to support them, what is that all about?
