Chevy vs Ford for work truck

Who the **** flies to DC on a private jet to ask for billions in taxpayer funds?
We ran the numbers in a thread in Friendly Politics when that happened and (IIRC) if you are taking an entourage of 10 or more people, the savings of time (including paying for travel time), the extra alertness of having flown in the comfort of a private jet (which is already paid for or leased) vs driving or flying in a commercial cattle hauler may make it cheaper to take a private jet vs flying commercial or driving.

I have never seen a single Ram Municipal Truck or large fleet truck and I travel each corner of this country on a monthly basis.

See some GM but for every one I see 95 Ford's. Heck around here Nissan has taken over the fleet Van Segment.

Guessing your world travels have never taken you through NY??

Or the North East for that matter?

Completely true: and completely irrelevant to public perception.

JBourquin, that is the first Dodge highway type truck Ive ever seen, photo or in person. I have seen Dodge electric company trucks, and was appalled by how thin the bed rails were.

I go to NY but to be honest I would rather avoid that place other than upstate.

Sorry timster2, the reason they buy Fords is because they hold up. There is no way Ford will come in on a bid lower than a Dodge. I do see some municipal trucks that are GMC, but never ever Dodge. They sell cheap because they are built cheap.

Dodge is not so cheap in my neck of the woods. Chevy is usually lowest with Ram and ford fighting for top dollar depending on option package. Not much difference in the bunch. They are all high.
I did see a study the other day that looked at vehicles with more than 200,000 miles.
ford HD was #1 with General motors 2500 just behind. Trucks dominated the top 10. Ram was not listed. That hurt a bit as a Ram owner.

Yeah but was it written as a percent of sales? Obviously when you sell less trucks there will be less on the road.
