Ford releases fuel numbers for the new F-150

They did run the 6.2 Chevy. It was the first vehicle they ran. 5.94 seconds.

Guess I didn't catch that. I thought the 5.3 was the only GM tested.

Don't go away mad. These threads are educational and informative. You did learn at least one thing in this thread.... the ecoboost not being a 4 banger. I have found the banter to bring to the forefront each vehicles strengths and weaknesses and haven't taken anything personal, even when someone implied I have a fat wife.

Who said I was going away ? ...........but as expected you continued your rant. By the way I fixed my typo about the "four banger" ecoboosts , my point was an engine the equivalent size of a 4 cyl when it comes to cc's and high rev needs.......but keep ranting ............SSDD

Here is another test with Ford having the poorest rear end ratio of the three. Yes another Ford sponsored event but it shows the rear ratios. Makes one wonder why it is uncommon to find similar tests sponsored by other manufacturers. Poor marketing departments, poor engineering departments, or something else?

Yeah, very common distance for tests, 281 feet. I know for a fact if you shove all the trucks off a cliff the Ram is the first one to the bottom because of its low drag.

The biggest thing I got from that ford infomercial was the ford truck tested was over $62,000 and was still not the most expensive f-150 it didn't have some options and wasn't the platinum.

Good thing it is the most configurable to order of the three. Get it how you want. I'm sure the other two offer trucks in that price range.
