Closed out the late Muzzle-loader with a 150lb.dressed doe.We had taken three bucks off the property and decided it was time to address the does.We have been seeing a lot of does and tried to take the more mature adult does....I think we succeeded quite well.Freezers will be busting at the gills.

Nice doe NY BIRDMAN. I decided to stay in and make Christmas cookies with my wife. How lazy is that?

ROBERTBROWN
Beautiful bobcat;we have several in the area, missed one early in the year.It was the first I had ever seen while hunting. My son in law saw one this morning on my property.Time to do a little predator hunting now deer season is closed.
The coyotes are thick as usual;I have neighbors that run them with hounds in the winter.

Thanks
She is a good one, I got lucky. There was very little damage. That's a 50 cal. muzzeloader.
Called her with a squirrel whistle from a tree stand (climber),

The only bullet hole I can see is back on the hind leg. Was that a killing shot? Man those muzzle loaders pack some wallop!

I fired one shot, a 45 cal. 240 grain, jacketed hollow point in a sabot, in front of 85 grains of Hogden 777. The cat was dead 10' from that spot. It died quickly and quietly from massive tissue damage and blood loss. Your looking at the exit wound.

Couldn't have killed it any deader with a high-powered varmint rifle!

I don't know how I missed this thread.
I got my deer just 5 minutes into a walk out to my game cam to change cards on opening day here in Maine.

Here is a shot of a doe I picked up. Took a Pontiac to the ribs. Just picked up a buck dropped by a Cadillac. Officer shot it and before he returned with papers it was dressed out lol. I hunt like a vulture.
