NX Options (or lack thereof)

/ NX Options (or lack thereof) #11
The nx5510 I just bought has the first valve on it so I just have to have the dealer order the remaining two, then I'll install them myself. I'm trying to pretty much get everything ordered and here then pull the interior once to install everything. I'm waiting on my DO5 and sub plate to arrive so I can start installing the 3rd function also.

DO5 will need to be mounted in a different spot than where I mount on top of the transmission. However, there is plenty of space if you mount length-wise if you pop off one of the rear wheels. You'll need to make a pretty heavy bracket as DO5 is heavy.

Speaking of, I have a the DO5 stuff, I just didn't use it.

Did you decide to try the DO3 stuff or go a different route ?

I first ordered in Do5 for faster flow, but at the end of the day, I knew I was running 3/8" lines to smaller rams on the 3rd function. After taking to hydro guys (none of whom are experts, they just know what they do which is why "so-experts" give conflicting ways of doing things) I learned faster acting rams tend to blow more seals anyway, Going through a Do3 sub plate and valve body turns out to work okay. I never tested the Do5. What i can tell you is that the easiest to move ram always moves first, so that no matter what the 3rd function is always going to move after a lift or curl ram because those larger rams have more surface area in their pistons. Given that the Do5 isn't gong to be that much faster in application than Do3.

Took me a long time to learn what I just shared.

I have a grapple setup on my kubota with a DO3 setup I put together a few years back, so I am familiar with how they work and react. I'm not worried about trying to speed up the grapple by going to the DO5 I'm using it do to the higher gpm of this tractor over my kubota, I don't want to restrict any flow to the rear remotes or three point hitch.

You won't with the Do3.

Ok thanks, I guess it really don't matter now anyway, sense the DO5 is on it's way and I have the location and brackets figured out for it.

FYI for the third remote. All there can be ordered in a kit. I've got three in mine. North America is the only place Kioti says you can only have two rear remotes. All other continents it's listed in the literature as an option.

Your dealer learned how to do three on my tractor, which is why it was delivered to me six weeks late. Sigh.

Anyway, Country, you'll be fine with DO5, and 3/8" lines. BTW, something you may want to do it use skid loader flush style quick disconnect at the end of the loader. Twice as expensive as AGG connectors but cleaner and less fluid drips out when you you QD.

We did call your dealer since our tech and your tech know each other from trainings. After they got off the phone we opened one of the remote kits. Inside are part numbers including the two for the three remote option. One with detent and one with out. Neither one of them knew of this until we found these numbers. Now they just order the proper part number for the three.
