Case DX33 Farmall
Sorry if this is "beating a dead horse" but I have a new to me/like new Case DX33 Farmall (tc33da) and I just want to confirm that the Amsoil listed above is good to go. I like the cold weather performance of the oil vs what's in there now seems to be a little slow in the cold we have in MI right now. And yes I will use factory Case hydro and HST filters as (thanks to this great forum) I know this is important.

Thanks.

Good to go.

Have used in it my TC18 for a few years now with no issues. Definately better performance than stock in the cold and is the reason I switched.

Thanks guys, I guess I will get my wallet out and buy some.

Problem is I just bought the tractor and she knows that I "need" to do the maintenance stuff but I think its in my best interest to let the price shock of the tractor wear off before I spend $250 on hydro oil!

After using my TC25D the first winter to plow snow, the 'screaming' hydraulic noise until the tractor fully warmed up got me to switch to Amsoil synthetic the follow spring.

I'm assuming that the Amsoil synthetic is working well and better in hydro response in cold weather?

Yep, the 'screaming hydraulics' period is substantially shorter. It's usually over by the time I pull the tractor out of the garage, raise the ROPs, shut the garage door and climb on the seat, the fluid is warm enough so there's almost no noise.

I'm running this hydro oil in my ventrac and it definitely improves cold weather performance and cuts hydraulic noise to almost nothing...I highly recommend it.

I was going to switch myself because everyone here was complaining of the screaming. I really don't get that. So I have stayed but with the standard.

I just noticed today that my tc18 has a loud whining when I peddle forward or backwards. My fluids are good topped off. Doesn't whine using the bucket or blower. Just when I use my hydrostatic peddle for forward/backwards. Suggestions......pls...... don't want to hurt anything. Gets louder as my rpms go up.
