I'm looking to upgrade from my sub-compact Kubota BX2200 to a true compact tractor. I saw some of the Mahindra's at the Ft. Worth stock show and they caught my interest. I'm considering one with a FEL and BH. The lift capacities of the 3-pt, loader and BH are impressive compared to the competitors. Does anyone have some experience with them? How about pricing? I was quoted about $26,500 (cash price) for a 3016HST, FEL, BH and 3-pt finish mower.

I looked at them before I purchased my tractor I was very impressed with the specs as well. That price sounds about right to me. I preferred the bobcat (kioti) for comfort and specs were about the same and couldn't pass up the bobcat deal.

I may be biased about the Mahindra 3016, but it is certainly worth a look. Also, look at LS tractors as well if possible, a great value for the money.

There are hardly any LS dealers in his area same with bobcat and kioti.. not many of them in Tx. But to the OP yes price is in line and it will be a big upgrade from the BX. Stay in the mid size range with the BH bucket imo

I bought my 3016hst last summer with loader and hoe. $24k

I checked out all the competition for 4 months before I bought.

I am VERY pleased with it.

I'm in that "research mode" right now. My neighbor works at a Kubota dealer, so I was originally leaning that way, however, the price and the spec's on the Kubotas aren't that impressive. I'm starting to lean towards the Mahindra 3016 HST or Kioti CK30HST. Kioti's having an inventory problem right now, so they've been tough to find to kick the tires. I have about 3 Mahindra dealers within reasonable distance, so that's peaked my interest in them.

Are the Mahindra lift specs for 3-pt, FEL and BH accurate or overstated?

Compared to the Kubota L3200 I bought, the Mahindra/Mitsubishi has a little stronger FEL specs and a little weaker backhoe specs.

One of the reasons I bought a new Kubota is that the used ones 2-5 years old were selling for what they cost new. The local Mahindra dealer was out of 3016 HST anyway so .i grabbed a Tier III L3200.

I was torn between the 3016 and the Kioti ck27/30. Then I took a closer look and found the BH on the kioti looked like a generic add on, not nearly so well integrated to the over all looks. Also the Kioti was considerably longer, and the ROPS wouldn't fit in my barn without folding it.

The Mitsubishi engine in the 3016 is an excellent starter in cold weather. The kioti is a little finicky in the cold. My brother has one and he needs a heater on it, I don't. Mine starts as easy as my new Toyota Tundra.

The kioti has a FEL that is rated considerably less than the Mahindra, and my brother's Kioti has proved that to me.

I haven't tried to verify the specs, but I don't doubt they're what they say.

The kioti is a very good machine, but I think the Mitsubishi made Mahindra is better.

Either way you won't go wrong.

Very accurate

Nothing like putting your money where your fel is. This log calculates to a couple pounds under 1700. The loader could lift it higher but I did not want to chance it with such an unstable load. The second picture is the same log and gives a better idea of it's breadth. The 3 pt picked it up like it was a feather.
