I just contacted Brian about getting step up with a tilting ram appropriately sized for my kind of work.

For those who want to know the Kioti NX6010 series CAT2 measurements, a 3" ram with 4-5" of travel with clevises on both ends. Inside pin clearance is 1" top and bottom, outside measurement on the stock link is 2" (using 1/4" material for the clevis). Clevis length on lower side measures 5" from top, outside of U to the very end. Center of pin to center of pin on the factory adjustable measures 16.5" collapsed, and 19.75" extended, while the center to center measurement on the non-adjustable side measures 17.25"

I used to race motorcycles. On constant mesh transmissions built by the Japanese, I could upshift without use of the clutch whatsoever by preloading the shift level, and blipping the throttle. Downshifting was the same way. On BMW and Harley transmissions, premium motorcycles by price comparison, their transmissions where clunky things that always required the use of the clutch to change gears.

My point is this: different manufacturers do things differently. On your Kioti, the range gears are not synchronized. By that I mean they lack a blocking ring that speeds up or slows down gears. Moreover, because we have HST machines, we have no clutch to take power completely off the transmission so we cannot double clutch by matching the engine speed with the speed the transmission gear needs in order for the gears' tech to interlock and mesh. For this reason we will always get grinding trying to change range gears while moving, and when stopped, we may need to blip the forward or reverse pedals in order to align the range gears to get the incoming gear to mate with its partner gear.

This isn't a fault, it is the very nature of the design.

Moreover, every NX tractor here in North America is basically brand, spanking new! To the best of my knowledge none of our NX series tractors have enough hours on them where any of us can consider the transmissions are broken in.

Eric, my Kioti dealer (as I mentioned largest in the country so lots of sales) says there hasn't been any problems with brush and stuff clipping hoses/lines on the underside!!! :) So...... that tells me that you have been a very naughty boy.......
I'm thinking about cutting a company name and phone number into mine so people know who to call.

Kapper, we've both been on this planet long enough to know that unless the dealer has a ready way to remedy the problem, no matter how often or what the problem may well be, the standard dealer issue response to any concern is, "Really, I've never heard of that problem before!"

That is the absolute truth. Ref. My Kubota L3400, and its 3pt hitch. "nope we have never heard of no jerky 3pt hitch on those"

Yeppers I've heard that line before.

Yeah, I know. I wrapped all of my hydraulic lines with plastic and electrical tape and I bent one up good on the steering arm, and I bent one on the loader frame but luckily didn't break either one. Honestly I am amazed that I haven't broke more on my Deere because I do a lot of what you have started doing by clearing roads and overgrown fields/woods. Maybe the Deere is better situated than the Kioti. Although I noticed on one of your clearing videos that you had the loader in float mode. Personally, I don't do that because the bucket could just ride over the brush you want to remove and then it comes up and pokes underneath. Rather, I manually manipulate the bucket to either A) rip the roots out of the ground while I push or B) cut the brush/tree at the base so as to leave only a few inches above ground. It is a bit slower this way, but the clearing is more efficient and of course, safer to the underside.

LOL EXACTLY!!! And it's not just tractor dealers. I was at my Ford dealer today grabbing something, BS'ing with the service manager about my 6.0 powerstroke. When he heard I wasn't running Ford Gold coolant, he balked and said I've gotta get that back in there! I said no, Ford Gold has silicates in it, and under hot pressurized conditions it has been known to fall out of suspension and clog the Oil Cooler and EGR Cooler, leading to the very common EGR failures that the 6.0L is known for ... he said, "Well, I've never heard of that. The engine calls for Ford Gold coolant, so that's what you should run." It is well known to apparently the whole rest of the world that swapping out that Ford Fools-Gold coolant for a premium standard E.L. coolant ASAP will prevent most of the oil cooler/EGR failures (if they haven't already clogged up your oil cooler passages).

Dealerships never want to admit there's a problem with one of their products ...

I've got a sheet of 3/16 and a sheet of 1/4 aluminum plate I'm thinking of making a skid plate out of one of them for the bottom of mine before I start using it, just to be on the safe side.
