Best tractor for the money

It is 2015 and I would like an update, because I am threw with my YM1610D. I want a new tractor.
I am looking for FEL and BH attachment

Best for the buck.

Thanks all!!

What size tractor do you want to get? This can make a difference as to what recommendations you get.

No such thing as a bad tractor as long as it suits your needs and wallet. I just got crucified on another thread for pushing Kubota, my only choice in tractors, and not making price my first consideration. Follow your intuition.

"Since pricing that you have so far is so close I would forget about the pricing and buy from the dealer you like best and the one you think will give you the best service after the sale. They are all good tractors. But not one of them is any good if you have a dealer that only cares about the upfront sale."

Murph,
I see you and some of the other seasoned guys drilling this home. Must confess I'm confused. I would think tractor sales and car sales are somewhat alike.

As a newbie, I would have thought a tractor Dealer would be different than a car dealer based on geography.
In our area, if you had a problem with the dealer, the next closest dealer of that same brand is 90 minutes away.
Different that a car dealer, when the next closest dealer is only 5 minutes away

Wow ... Reviving a 10.5 year old thread!

The question has been asked, why re-invent the tractor. The age of the question , means they all had time to ponder and experience the tractor chosen. 😇
I guess I will go with Mahindra. $12000 less then the kubota for what looks to me, to be the same tractor.
The commercial is cool also.
Thanks.

Yeah was following along on that one... and getting a good laugh. I am sort of with you in that I am partial to Kubota. Two reasons really, first, I fell in love the BX25D, it has been an absolute beast and a joy. Second, my local Kubota dealer is awesome, free use of trailer whenever I need to transport to/from, parts/service guys always helpful and knowledgable, and they are close. No other dealer around me in my experience comes close to them in all respects.

Still not getting it....go figure. Nobody ever said price was the first consideration. Besides, we all know Deere makes the best tractors, and everything else is second rate at best

Anyone who's first consideration is brand or price:

A: May get lucky.
B: May be unhappy.
C: May kill or injure themselves or someone else by their choice.
D: May cause serious financial loss due to damages to a vast number of things.

Anyone seriously needing a tractor should be considering things in the order of:

1: What jobs need done.
2: What does it take (implements) to do those jobs.
3: What size tractors can operate the implements I need to do the jobs that must be performed.
4: Is there anything in my budget that fits these needs.
5: Which of the models that suit my needs and fits my budget will I be able to get the best local support on.
6: What color is it.

It is a tool, not an impulse purchase. Know everything about all your choices before laying down a penny.

Anyone who thinks there is any sort of blanket answer to such a silly question is as silly as the question. There are WAY too many good machines with WAY too many variables outside of the machine itself to have a blanket answer.

That's a little dramatic don't you think? As far as brands go, I think you could go to the brand of your choice, and they will have something to fit your needs.
